Fernando Peracho is bachelor in Fine Arts curriculum of restoration and photography, and diploma in Business Administration studies at University of Barcelona. From year 1987 to 2001 he worked in investment banking, and from 2001 to 2009 was responsible for photography of the Hartmann Gallery in Barcelona. Since November 2009, is along with Brauli Teixidó, founding member and director of the Valid Foto Gallery BCN, www.validfoto.com gallery specialized in photography, where he works currently as director. He has curated exhibitions of authors such as: Albert Watson, Arnold Newman, Xavier Miserach, Mark Seliger, Colita, Ricard Terré, Pentti Sammallathi, Masao Yamamoto, Claude Nori, Toni Catany, Kristoffer Albrecht, Josef Hoflehner, Henry Horenstein and Francisco Ontañón, among others. In 2011, in alliance with Convincing Black he founded the publishing house Valid Editions www.valideditions.com. From 2013, he collaborates with the Festival PhotoMed Sanary and Photomed Beirut. Since 2015 he promotes BIPA, Barcelona International Photography Award.
