Selection of July 2022: The WINDSWEPT SCULPTURES by PANOS LASKARAKIS

The WINDSWEPT SCULPTURES by PANOS LASKARAKIS

The ‘Windswept Sculptures’ is one of my favorite scenes from Africa, taken in the Ndutu conservation area of Tanzania. It was an unexpected moment when suddenly the stormy weather in the middle of the day created this atmosphere, that I like the most.

The bodies of the antelopes had been positioned in the same direction, against the dusty winds. For a few seconds everything was smooth like a painting. After this, the shooting was easy for me; I enjoyed framing images in such stormy conditions.
