This photo is part of a series for which I wanted to recreate a mysterious and galactic atmosphere inspired by this insect. Indeed, "l'Empuse pennée", in its juvenile form and by its graphics, reminds me of a monster coming from the deepest space. In spite of some original ideas, the composition of this photo was not thought of in advance. Only once I got there, with my eye in the viewfinder, looking for the light filtering through the bushes, I was able to visualize the effect and refine my framing. The main difficulty was to make the most of the good light conditions which only lasted a few seconds. Not being a fan of long post-processing sessions, this one was limited to the usual contrast, clarity, sharpness and vibrance. The white balance and exposure were set at the time of shooting.
