In landscape photography I am not only looking for a kind of documentation, but I also bring in my very personal point of view and want the picture to be a memory of a special moment. This moment belongs primarily to me, and I share it with others to show what we forget in today's superficial and fast paced time. Sometimes I work on the pictures more, sometimes less, but always in such a way as to intensify and reflect my feelings. My photography combines the eye, the respect for nature, the spirit and finally the craft into a complete picture. My special passion for landscape photography became apparent only late, I started with street photography. After an exhibition of Salgado, however, it was definitely landscape photography that has now become the photographic centre of my life. Nature is the greatest work of art and my recognition and respect for it is boundless. The light, the natural power and the aesthetics are my main focus. For my pictures I spend many hours in nature, in any weather. Sometimes I manage to create pictures that always accompany me and give me strength. And sometimes I stand speechless before scenarios that make me think of the last time I thanked nature. My interest also extends to my immediate surroundings. I can then quickly go out and take the pictures in different situations. I like mystical moods that radiate peace and tranquillity, but also those that show impetuous power. But it is always the colours, whether strong or fine, and the subtle light that intoxicates me. I like to take photographs in the north, Scotland is particularly appealing to me. I like being by the water or in the mountains, but it is always places of power that attract me. I am a child of analogue camera technology and I still learned to develop films and make prints. T
