Born in Belgium, as soon as he arrived in the beautiful country of Switzerland, Thomas Crauwels succumbed to the majesty of its mountains.

The discovery of magical moments spent at altitude gave him the desire to immortalize, with his camera, the landscapes that he discovered.

A new passion arose from the discovery of these new places together with a need to share the emotions generated from being in these magnificent surroundings.

In order to convey the atmosphere of the summits, Thomas finds his inspiration through the palette of light at twilight and submerges himself in the night atmosphere in order to experience at first hand the magical and unique moments that the mountain has to offer.

The more time he spends at high altitude the more the seductive call of the mountain becomes an essential element to the balance of his life.

Thomas’ quest for inspiration evolves with each of his experiences, growing ever stronger and more demanding both in exertion and his knowledge of the alpine environment, pushing him to climb ever more demanding summits.

The challenges of these ascents are shared through his photographs which allow us all to experience the magic of these moments in which we sense an infinite investment in the present moment.
