One morning in early May, I saw a beautiful Great Egret standing gracefully on an Oak branch with Spanish moss hanging under. I knew it would eventually take off, so I prepared my camera settings and carefully chose the position and angle. I anticipated it would fly from right to left since it faced left while standing. I planned the composition with negative space to the left and the beautiful Spanish moss on the right. read more.

As this bird has an extremely colourful and vibrant beak, it's very rare to see monochrome images of them. I thought taking a classic monochrome portrait would be a little bit different from the usual and would help the portrait stand out even further. read more.

This picture was taken by chance when we were returning to our tented camp from a game drive in the Okavango Delta in Botswana in October 2018. The sun had just set when we came across this lion. read more.
